Job Description

This Sr. Talent Sourcer will be focused on building and implementing a robust sourcing strategy via research, tactical sourcing and implementation of a nurture program to support Square's Finance organization. This is a hybrid sourcing/PM position that will be responsible for the development of a top of funnel recruiting strategy that focuses on both short term hiring, such as research and sourcing for open positions, as well as building a long term hiring program which involves nurturing talent from research, market mapping, networking, events, and/or referrals. 

You will:

  • Partner with full cycle recruiters and hiring managers to understand the details of priority positions that need top of funnel support and overall hiring needs of the business 

  • Perform candidate sourcing and research activities to assist full cycle recruiting partners in building a robust diverse pipeline for their positions

  • Leverage a variety of passive sourcing methods, techniques and technologies to build a diverse slate of candidates and long term pipelines

  • Conduct in-depth phone interviews and assess potential candidates for level of interest, qualifications, compensation and convert hard to find passive talent through an understanding of the business and employee value proposition

  • Identify and clearly articulate the qualifications, strengths, and opportunities of candidates to hiring managers and full cycle recruiting partners

  • Co partner with talent business partners on hosting external events by owning  top of funnel responsibilities: building attendee lists, inviting nurture program members to attend events, facilitating strategic networking

  • Nurture Community Development: Build and implement a robust nurture pipeline of candidates across a diverse set of functional areas via networking, research, referrals, events and creating target lists of companies and individuals for active and future openings

  • Collect and frame-up external talent market data to enable partners to inform and influence decisions


You have: 

  • 5+ years of work experience in a sourcing or full cycle recruiting position with an emphasis on research and/or passive sourcing

  • Experience developing and executing a fully comprehensive sourcing strategy with a focus on specific functional areas and/or I&D

  • Experience program managing recruiting initiatives

  • Knowledge of sourcing techniques, inclusive of boolean, data mining, professional networking, passive candidate prospecting and innovative social media sourcing strategies

  • Demonstrated experience speaking with and assessing candidates’ skills and qualifications
