Job Description

The Crypto team is responsible for building, maintaining, and growing Cash App’s blockchain-based financial services.

We are looking for a hands-on technical leader (read: can contribute as a developer) with a history of successfully bootstrapping teams and products to lead a new team and join us in redefining the world’s relationship with money.

You will work alongside leads from all disciplines to expand our existing product line with a mission of empowering individuals across the world by providing financial services based on Bitcoin and other digital assets. 

As a Tech Lead Manager, you will be responsible for designing, building, and improving our crypto products. You will contribute as a developer and support your engineering team as a mentor and manager as it grows.

You will:

  • Lead a new product development team

  • Champion iterative development and customer-first decision making while refining your team’s vision and roadmap

  • Lead and participate in critical technical, design, strategy and product discussions with leaders across the organization and company

  • Participate in all parts of product development, working with non-Engineering related disciplines (Product and Design) and adjacent Engineering teams (Mobile, Platform, Machine Learning, and Data Science)

  • Build a world-class team by hiring exceptional talent, coaching and developing engineers, cultivating pragmatic engineering decision-making, and leveraging your technical expertise to constantly raise the bar

Qualifications

You have:

  • A passion for Bitcoin and other digital assets

  • 8+ years of software development or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years experience directly managing engineers (including providing mentorship, feedback, and investing in the career growth of your team members)

  • Previous success prioritizing urgency, excellence, and delivery in a fast-paced and high-growth environment

  • A history of healthy collaboration with product managers, engineers, and other engineering managers on developing roadmaps and executing against them
