Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Quality Engineer to work with our internal teams and external partners to drive robust quality processes throughout the supply chain. You will be responsible for setting up and auditing quality control plans at the factory as well as monitoring production yield/reliability tests on an ongoing basis. You will also work with the cross functional team to understand field performance and drive improvement activities in the factories.
Qualifications
You will:
- Support factory process quality and compliance requirements by hardware program through NPI and Sustaining phases
- Identify, establish, and standardize quality specifications, including the requirements to CMs
- Lead root-cause analysis and process studies in the case of quality excursions
- Lead continuous improvement activities on Process and Product Quality - including Quality activities in CMs sites and Square internal teams
- Conduct data analyses (yield, IQC, ORT, IPQC, etc..) on production and quality metrics
- Conduct Contract Manufacturers’ (CMs) audit to ensure adherence to product specifications
- Train CM quality teams to provide value-added analysis in their FA/CA report
- Scale up - Train CMs to understand these processes support CMs’ business better and leverage CMs by having them take ownership of their own processes
You have:
- 3+ years experience in manufacturing and quality management
- Understand factory process and operations and have experience partnering with CMs
- Familiar with SMT/FATP Process and the related knowledge of critical control/management
- Excellent communication skills in both Mandarin and English
- Strong interpersonal and project leadership
- Great team player, good at cross functional team working
- Open minded to cultural differences
- Being able to navigate through ambiguity
- Ability to travel to Contract Manufacturing partners to support builds on site
Nice to have:
- Technical background (i.e. Testing/Mechanical)
- Exceptional analytical and Excel skills
- JMP preferred
- Detail Oriented
