Job Description

Square’s Global Marketing team helps businesses learn about Square and engage with our ecosystem of products and services. As Marketing Coordinator (contract) for Australia, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring we achieve our full potential as a marketing organisation. You will execute critical day to day operational initiatives to ensure we achieve our goals on-time, on-budget and with excellence. 

You Will:

Execute (and improve) key tasks in the following areas:

Marketing operations:

  • Help set-up and manage relevant tracking pixels for campaigns

  • Upload approved content to our blog via our CMS

  • Refresh retargeting and look-a-like audiences with social media partners

  • Manage pixel and floodlight creations with the global AdOps team

  • Support the set-up of lead generation activities (emails, forms, etc.)

Performance reporting:

  • Help to track marketing spend and pacing; liaising with agencies to ensure spend docs are accurate and being updated 

Financial reporting and operations:

  • Ensure monthly and quarterly reports are populated on-time and with excellence

  • Update monthly accruals and manage invoicing

  • Raise and edit POs for/with agencies and other partners

Partner operations:

  • Assist in the creation and progression of purchase orders/requisitions and SOWs

  • Act as go-between for Square legal, procurement and current/prospective partners as negotiations move forward, helping to keep communication going between all parties.


You have:

  • Some demonstrated experience working in a marketing position, with emphasis on digital marketing/media

  • Excellence in project management, able to manage concurrent and high velocity workstreams

  • Proactive approach, encouraging internal collaboration and partnership and fostering strategic thinking

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Deep experience working with Spreadsheets

  • Passion for and interest in the global small business community

Additional Information

This is a fulltime, casual position for 11 months. In this role you will be employed by our external Australian recruiting agency partner.
