The Web Point of Sale team oversees the Virtual Terminal product. Virtual Terminal enables computer-based sellers to accept payments using a web browser, without the need for a separate device. Virtual Terminal has been used to process remote payments over the phone, but Square is expanding its capabilities to support in-person use cases and more complex sellers - creating a suite of products for computer-based sellers in the US and across the globe. You will report to the engineering lead working on these suite of products.

You Will:

• Work with your fellow engineers and teammates to ensure that Square provides a comprehensive and cohesive computer-based product to end-users;
• Engineer designs and implementations of impactful end-user product features;
• Help the team refine existing and establish new engineering patterns and processes to guarantee a thoughtful development cycle;

You Have:

• Excellent software engineering aptitude and a product mindset;
• 5+ years professional experience working on web applications using modern HTML, CSS, and Javascript UI frameworks (React, Ember, Vue).
• Experience with or interest in learning about AWS or other cloud computing platforms;
• Strong communication skills and a strong desire to deliver a great product;
• A strong sense of customer empathy and an interest in influencing the product direction.
