Job Description

With Square, Retailers around the globe can get set up fast and scale up their catalog and locations as they grow. Through our ecosystem of products, we help businesses sell everywhere - in-person, online, social, marketplaces, wholesale - and seamlessly manage their payments and fulfillment.

As a Product Manager on the Square for Retail team, you will drive impact for small businesses using our platform to start, run and grow their business. Our approach at Square is both customer-focused and data-driven. You will define the product strategy, coordinating and completing projects, and optimizing our customers' experience. You will partner with various functions and leaders within the organization to ensure that our features provide a remarkable experience, while achieving ambitious growth metrics. In this role, you will work on a broad range of high impact projects across all of Square for Retail, from fulfillments to expanding into new verticals. You will jump into a fast growing product, set the strategy for our future expansion, and see tangible results quickly. 

You will:

  • Define product strategy and improve our customers' experience using a variety of inputs, and clearly articulate rationale behind product decisions

  • Develop industry-leading products across mobile, desktop and native platforms that uniquely serve Square's customers

  • Partner with design, product marketing, engineering, and analytics, and lead the end-to-end success of projects from discovery to launch

  • Work alongside highly talented PMs who can help mentor and guide your career growth

  • Guide flexible order creation and fulfillment capabilities for Retailers that enhance the relationship with their customers

  • Flex into new growth areas within Square for Retail's product offering, and conduct discovery and strategic recommendations

  • Operate cross-functionally and build partnerships across the company in delivering excellent products

  • Influence partners throughout Square to align intent, resources, and prioritization

Qualifications

You have:

  • 4+ years of career experience, including in building software products
  • Experience in, or strong passion for the Retail space
  • Customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs
  • Experience driving strategies that shaped the investment portfolio of an organization
  • Experience diving into ambiguous areas and delivering results quickly and reliably
  • Experience aligning stakeholders and executing effectively in a complex organization
  • Natural curiosity and interest in learning new things
  • Excellent prioritization skills and obsession with the details
