We are looking for a Security Governance Program Manager to help us manage information security compliance programs for Cash App.

As a Security Governance Program Manager focused on Cash App, you’ll be a subject matter expert on national and global compliance standards. You’ll balance Block’s legal and compliance requirements with our users’ needs, and our company’s values. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Industry Relations teams to ensure that our products can launch anywhere in the world while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and obligations.

You will:

• Manage and improve data security compliance programs

• Identify and assess security controls, and communicate compliance risks to stakeholders

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to influence designs and roadmaps

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate compliance processes to provide timely deliverables

• Partner with teams across the entire company to improve data security and the governance of our internal data

• Engage with industry leaders in data security and governance to inform the next generation of payment security rules and regulations

You have:

• 5+ years of experience managing compliance programs or conducting IT security audits for technology-focused companies to achieve regulatory compliance

• Experience with balancing internal engineering processes, business needs, and external audit requirements

• Working knowledge of industry security standards, frameworks, and regulations (e.g. PCI DSS, AICPA Trust Principles (SOC 2/3),  NIST CSF, GDPR, CCPA)

• Experience working on a team with technical and non-technical members
