Job Description

The Account Management team works with high-value merchants to grow their business using Square's powerful ecosystem of products. Our team of account managers and leads partner with product and marketing teams to deeply understand the needs of our merchants and then meet their needs and grow their business through Square solutions.

We are looking for a Senior Manager for our Core Accounts - Account Management team with experience in Sales leadership. You will support and continue to build a high-performing team that drives results for our sellers and for Square. You will co-develop processes, tools, systems, new initiatives and metrics to ensure excellence in account management, at scale. You will also manage high-impact projects for the Account Management organization.

You will:

  • Lead a team of Front Line Managers (3-6 managers) and their teams (30-60 person revenue generating account management team members).

  • Be a partner and point person for senior members of the Account Management leadership and operational teams.

  • Be an essential driving force in continuing the account management team's growth at Square, especially in the SMB+ revenue segment.

  • Represent the needs and unique opportunities that exist within your teams.

  • Report on team progress, product insights, and seller learnings to key internal stakeholders across Square.

  • Develop change management to ensure agreement at leadership and account manager levels.

  • Build on a culture of smart work, seller focus and professional integrity.

  • Develop creative fun ways to motivate your team and the broader core accounts team to exceed targets (revenue outputs, inputs, customer satisfaction, and operational goals).

  • Engage with product teams to be the customer voice to drive both product attach and product improvements.

Qualifications

You have:

  • 7+ years in Account Management, Business Development, or SMB Sales at a high growth company.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience, with 2+ years of experience leading sales managers.

  • The ability in playing important roles in projects and working on those projects.

  • Extensive experience in a metrics-driven sales organization.

  • Strong written and verbal skillset and manage relationships with senior executives.

  • The ability to hire and develop a successful sales teams.

  • (Preferred) Experience in high transaction volume SaaS application.
