Job Description

The Product Compliance team creates compliance strategies that allow the launch and growth of Block products globally. The Product Compliance - Commerce & Community team is looking for a Product Compliance Manager (PCM) to provide compliance support for the Cash App Commerce and Community teams programs. The PCM will ensure the program is compliant with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures,

You Will:​​​​​​

  • Implement creative risk-based solutions in areas related to regulatory, network, and partnership compliance.
  • Become a subject matter expert in all areas of the Commerce, Community and Social compliance programs and assist with product launches.
  • Consult with Legal , Compliance Operations, Risk and other partners to resolve product compliance issues and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Identify product gaps in control and assess remediations proposed by partners
  • Under the guidance of the Product Compliance Manager and Product Compliance Lead, communicate complex compliance issues with all partners
  • Maintain repository of applicable compliance laws and regulations and identify latest applicable compliance risks
  • Advise Product teams and create Compliance programs to allow the growth of Block's business across all products and markets
  • Liaise between relevant external partners and internal Compliance teams
  • Evaluate partnership requirements and advocate for Block's best interests
  • Remain up-to-date on regulatory changes and landscape, best practices and new developments in the industry

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 6+ years in the compliance industry, ideally with experience in payments compliance
  • AML and regulatory knowledge, specifically in Electronic Funds Transfer Act - Reg. E, 31 CFR Parts 1010 and 1022 of the Bank Secrecy Act, consumer protection compliance and payment network rules and regulations
  • A metrics-driven approach to create substantiated solutions
  • Operational knowledge in building a sound Compliance program
  • Knowledge in payment regulations and/or scheme rules, knowledge of areas of lending, e-commerce, and peer-to-peer payments also ideal
  • Organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to operate independently and work with team members of all levels
