Job Description

Afterpay is looking for a Growth Product Manager to develop our promotions platform across
both merchant and Afterpay funded promotions. This team is always looking for ways to
maximize the return on an incremental dollar--whether it's improving the redemption and
awareness experience of promotions, or highlighting different merchants. You'll partner
closely with the promotions engineering and operations team as well as Sales and Partner
Success across the company to help achieve Afterpay and merchants’ growth objectives. You
will work with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, data analysts, marketers and
researchers to build new product experiences that our customers will love. We are looking for
entrepreneurial Product Managers who value moving quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, develop and optimize our promotions platform across both merchant and Afterpay funded promotions.
  • You'll partner closely with engineering, design, analytics, and our sales team to grow merchant adoption of promotions.
  • You'll be the primary driver for identifying significant opportunities, and driving product vision, strategies and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals.
  • Incorporate data, research and market analysis to inform product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Drive decision-making through user insights, quantitative analysis and AB testing.
  • Lead the strategy, roadmap and execution of key initiatives and products.
  • Identify and devise strategies to add new growth channels.
  • Leads and motivates a team of engineers and other cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years product management or related experience.
  • Track record of impact - you've been in the trenches and have a proven track record of driving significant, company-wide impact
  • "Customer-centric" product instinct paired with an ability to balance multiple users' needs and business impact
  • A humble and scrappy get-it-done mindset; you’re resourceful and in your element going from 0 to 1
  • Strong customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs
  • A hunger to tackle complicated and impactful product & business problems
  • Experience driving complex, cross-functional product initiatives in a successful way
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and logical structuring abilities
  • Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to independently lay out and test clean hypotheses, and solve problems without well-defined direction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience building ads products preferred, but not required.
