Job Description
The Vendor Partner Analyst is responsible for the success of our expansive network of IT Vendors, who plays a critical role in onboarding for our new sellers. In order to effectively support our partners, this role requires a deep understanding of vendor management, as well as our customer’s networking hardware and infrastructure needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience with: managing partner relationships, implementing training programs, managing projects with multiple stakeholders, process optimization, and making customer onboarding experiences as seamless as possible.
You will:
Execute on sales strategy and develop shared measures of success for our vendor network
Own technician escalations and proactively identify ways to prevent these
Develop new workflows designed to reduce internal and external SLAs
Monitor third party Service Level Agreements (SLAs); creating and executing remediation plans as necessary
Partner with Sales and Onboarding team to provide ongoing insight and project communication
Partner with L&D team to create Square hardware training programs for technician network
Ensure necessary training is completed and adhered to by vendors
Negotiate, renew and optimize partner contracts. Monitor Contract terms and manage renewals and periodic reviews
Workflow/success metrics creation within each market based on vendor capabilities and historical performance
Stay current with the relevant third party marketplace and competition to make recommendations for new and/or replacement vendors
Continually look for opportunities to improve third party processes and decrease expenses to Square
Complete periodic third party scorecards, share with third parties and appropriate internal stakeholders, and use to drive optimal business value from third party relationships
Identify non-performing third parties and implement improvement plans, up to and including termination of vendor and/or replacement
Ensure senior management is informed on all aspects of third party oversight including escalation of critical issues, vendor performance results, substantive changes in costs, and appropriate critical metrics
Manage and ensure proper execution of all Third Party Management risk & control tasks(Legal, Risk, Compliance, etc)
Coordinate and conduct on-site visits as necessary
Work with GSO, Risk and technology partners to integrate all new third parties into processes and systems
Provide support and/or expertise for projects and programs involving relevant third party vendors
Support Square’s international expansion efforts through managing the RFP process and IT vendor selection, and partner with GSO to design and implement workflow/success metrics creation within each market
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with the following skills and/or experiences:
3+ years of experience in customer centric or partner centric roles
Prior experience managing third party relationships - including contract negotiation, SLA performance analysis, and relationship management Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to represent the voice of our customers and Sales/Implementation team members.
Experience with Square hardware and/or IT hardware
A passion for small businesses and an entrepreneurial mindset, notably someone who is known to innovate, take risks, and make big ideas a tangible reality.
