Job Description

Square is looking for a passionate leader to develop and manage our North America Sales group (US Inside, US Outside, CA Inside, and CA Outside). You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading a multilayered sales organization consisting of 120+ reps, 6 Directors, and 15+ Managers to start. Your leadership will directly help Square drive revenue against our annual sales quotas and scale our North America Sales group. Your intrapreneurship will be a valuable contribution to developing Square’s sales strategy, increasing the size and impact of the team and establishing a culture of crisp execution. This role reports directly to our Global Head of Sales (SMB/Mid-Market).

 

You will:

  • Be a key driving force in continuing Square’s sales team growth, specifically  in our SMB and Mid Market segments

  • Create the vision for North America sales growth and help our Sales Directors execute in tandem with their teams

  • Build predictable and repeatable sales funnel processes and best practices across multiple teams, including sales development, professional services, and sales enablement/training

  • Partner with cross functional efforts across Sales Ops, Finance, Product, Marketing, and Risk to remove obstacles and close deals

  • Own solidifying and scaling the outbound sales process

Qualifications

You have:

  • 10+ years of sales success, preferably in a high growth company

  • 8+ years of leadership experience, with experience leading distributed teams of Sales Managers and Sales Directors

  • (Preferred) Experience in high transaction volume SaaS application or financial services sales 

  • Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams and departments in a rapidly growing environment

  • Passion for supporting, growing, and empowering SMB/Mid-Market businesses

  • Understanding of Square’s culture and mission

  • Proven ability to communicate and manage relationships with senior executives

  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Extensive experience in a metrics-driven sales organization
