Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Finance and Strategy Analyst to support Square's Customer Success Team. The Square Customer Success Team is focused on providing world-class support that's always available—at the right times—but rarely needed. We solve scaling challenges across Square's products, for all types of customers, while adding value, driving customer happiness, and creating amazing experiences that result in our customers’ success. We help people engage in commerce and start, run, and grow their businesses.

Finance & Strategy team members have an intimate understanding of Square’s business. We gain this by leveraging tools like Excel, SQL, and Looker to evaluate customer and financial trends, answer business questions with data-driven insights, and communicate actionable recommendations.

You will:

  • Monitor, report and analyze business results and communicate key takeaways to senior stakeholders, including identifying opportunities or risks

  • Partner with CS leadership to drive financial acumen and accountability throughout the organization

  • Synthesize data from SQL databases and collaborate cross-functionally across Product, Sales, Accounting, and Business Intelligence (among other teams) to understand complex relationships between key drivers of our business

  • Own and drive key investment evaluation processes and foster cross functional collaborations to drive growth

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience focused on financial modeling 

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (you should be prepared for an Excel modeling interview)

  • Ability to execute independently and engage with team members of all levels

Even Better:

  • Experience with SQL/comfort working with large data sets and creating data visualizations

  • Experience with software, internet, payments and/or financial technology industry

  • Experience supporting customer success teams
