Global Expansion M&A Immigration Lead

As a Global Expansion M&A Immigration Lead, you will focus on non-US Immigration, leading M&A initiatives, and Block's global expansion efforts. You will lead the M&A Diligence & Implementation immigration life-cycle, inclusive of administrative tasks required for compliance. You will report to the Global Immigration Lead.
Lead Global M&A Due Diligence and Integration activities
Manage Square’s designated Global immigration counsel
DRI for the immigration function on Block’s Global Expansion effort and GEC, and other projects assigned
Build, improve and audit global processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and employee experience
Create training for stakeholders at all levels
Own country-specific immigration compliance, projects, and reporting requirements including government notifications and license renewals
Maintain and improve the Immigration internal Wiki, maintenance of process workflows, compiling program metrics, and business travel support, along with other projects as assigned
Partner with the broader team responsible for HR compliance including America’s Immigration Lead, Employment Law, Tax, Travel, Payroll, People Operations, and Corporate Governance to carry out compliance projects inclusive of immigration audits and Global Right to Work Check process reviews
Take point on escalations with key stakeholders and provide solutions, balancing company and employee compliance.
Grow a team to support M&A and global expansion initiatives
5-7 years working with a corporate immigration program strongly desired
Familiarity with global tax, Global Labor and Employment law, payroll, travel and global immigration
Experience in M&As and opening up immigration outside of the US is desirable
Ability to work with tight deadlines and handle employee confidential information with discretion
Ability to research, assess facts, interdependencies, and determine their impact to the business
Familiarity with Workday, Google Suite/MS Office, and Equus Software is a plus
