Job Description

Finance & Strategy improves financial and operational decision-making across Square. This role will support our Global Sales and Account Management functions, which guide our largest sellers’ journeys onto Square.

You will: 

  • Act as the primary business partner to Square’s Head of Sales and Account Management, providing strategic insight and advice to inform all key business decisions

  • Manage a team of five, providing the necessary coaching and structure to ensure the team continues to operate at a high level

  • Own a Weekly Business Review process, facilitating actionable conversations with Sales and Account Management leadership based on real-time projections of the team’s pacing, including providing key insights to Square’s CEO/CFO

  • Serve as a bridge between GTM and Product teams, translating acquisition efforts into Product P&L impact and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency in key verticals

  • Partner with Data Science and Analytics teams to improve Sales and Account Management targeting strategy and value measurement

  • Help advise on operating expense budget activities to ensure investment allocation and resources are according to Square's strategic priorities

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in investment banking or strategic finance

  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Proven ability to develop and lead an effective team

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines

  • Excellent proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (there will be a case study)

  • Experience with SQL
