Job Description

Finance & Strategy improves financial and operational decision-making across Square. This role will support our Global Sales and Account Management functions, which guide our largest sellers’ journeys onto Square.

You Will:

  • Build / maintain operational models that provide insight into GTM investment, team payback, and return on investment

  • Forecast team performance and report results, including retrieving data via SQL, analyzing large data sets, and communicating key takeaways to senior team members

  • Partner with Sales and Account Management leadership to optimize GTM efficiency, including identifying key trends and KPIs that allow for actionable changes to business strategy

  • Spearhead other ad-hoc analyses that provide value to fast-growing GTM functions

  • Partner with departments (e.g. Accounting, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, Marketing, and others) to analyze the financial impact of decisions across the company.

  • Help advise on operating expense budget activities to ensure investment allocation and resources are according to Square's strategic priorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field
  • 5+ years experience in investment banking, consulting, or strategic finance

  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines

  • Excellent proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (can perform complex functions) *there will be a case study

  • Experience with SQL is a plus
