Job Description

Talent Acquisition is a strategic function that enables Block’s growth, shapes our culture, and identifies the talent we need. As a Regional Talent Manager, you will oversee a distributed team of full life cycle Recruiters and Researchers across Australia, China and Japan -  You will report to the Head of Talent and be responsible for building and executing regional hiring strategies that will identify and attract diverse candidates. You will play a leading role in developing, implementing, and driving regional recruitment strategy with a focus on candidate experience and elevating Block’s employment brand. 

You Will:

  • Mentor and scale a Regional Recruiting Team 

  • Partner with leadership to create comprehensive recruiting strategies aligning recruiting plans with prioritization of the business

  • Be a consultative advisor to the business, leading strategic discussions to build teams holistically

  • Partner with mission-critical stakeholders within the finance, legal, compensation, and people functions

  • Partner with the broader recruiting team to build efficient and scalable recruiting processes

  • Leverage data to evaluate and optimize current hiring processes for operational efficiency


You have:

  • 6+ years of full cycle recruiting experience

  • 2+ years of management experience in a talent function

  • Ability to lead a regionally distributed recruiting team through consistent mentorship and coaching

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional stakeholders to accomplish a common goal

  • Ability to utilize data and metrics to story tell

  • A positive and team oriented approach to your work, defining your success through the contributions of others.
