North America is a key location in the increasingly competitive buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) space. Afterpay is a global leader in the category and is seeking an experienced professional to serve as a key analytics partner to the North America sales team as we defend and grow our position in the region. You will work on a small and nimble team and have the opportunity to deliver impactful insights for a hungry and supportive group of stakeholders. We’re looking for professionals who can help grow this nascent function into a best-in-class operational powerhouse.
As an Analyst in our Sales Analytics function, you’ll perform analyses and deliver recommendations to help propel forward Afterpay’s partnerships with some of the largest retailers in the world. You will succeed by leveraging your technical abilities, soft skills and business acumen to collaborate with and influence your key partners and cross-functional teams.
5-7 years relevant experience
Work experience with analytics tools like SQL and Excel and data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI. It is essential for the candidate to have the ability to effectively analyze data, design and build crisp visualizations, interpret data, and effectively convey the results.
Quantitative background in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related disciplines is preferred
Strong business acumen and ability to tell crisp and compelling stories with business stakeholders at all levels within the organization
Ability to influence senior stakeholders, stand up for yourself, and express disagreements in a constructive and gracious manner
Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities and tight deadlines
Prior knowledge of basic statistical concepts and experience partnering with Sales teams is ideal but not required.
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $114,200 - USD $139,600
Zone B: USD $106,200 - USD $129,800
Zone C: USD $97,100 - USD $118,700
Zone D: USD $85,700 - USD $104,700
