Job Description

The IT Logistics team at Block is responsible for helping to provide the necessary equipment & devices to our team members, across all business units, to help them maintain productivity and creativity.  The scope of our services include IT hardware and software procurement, Asset management, Vendor relationship management, including, but not limited to laptops, desktops, monitors, and all supporting peripherals/accessories.  We help to manage the entire product lifecycle of these corporate engineering devices, from vendor selection, vendor onboarding, asset database management, inventory & storeroom management, forecasting, procurement, receive/deploy, and end of life.

Qualifications

  • Quickly immerse themselves in the daily operations of IT Logistics program to identify the key measurable performance data points within each of the processes (~50+)

  • Collaborate within IT Logistics teams and relevant supporting teams to document business requirements

  • Model analysis in Google Sheets and/or Excel to vet analysis and prove proof of concept

  • Support daily operational aspects of the IT logistics program to ensure business continuity

  • Prepare analysis in an easily consumable format, appropriate for the audience, with ability to communicate the narrative behind the data

  • Learn and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the operations that drive operational data to contribute to data-based decision making

  • Lead initiatives to mature regularly required analysis to migrate from manual efforts to self-service dashboards, automated reports, and build triggers/notifications within the environment to push information, rather than pull it

  • Ability to shift priorities quickly, as the business environment evolves, and deliver results on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly cadence

  • Engage with external partners, as needed, to assist in normalizing data from the source and creating long term, self service solutions

  • Lead & support ad-hoc inquiries related to pricing and contract negotiations, component quality, forecasting, vendor selection, relationship management, product lifecycle management, IT Logistics operations performance and supply assurance

  • Work with operations on capacity planning, new product introduction readiness, product lifecycle management, forecasting and issue resolution.

  • Communicate to the team and senior management about all ongoing efforts, and any potential disruptions which can affect our ability to support our teams

  • Travel ~15%, mostly within the US, California

Additional Information

  • 3-5+ years experience in supply chain, inventory planning or business operations

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, Tableau/Looker or relevant platform(s)

  • A persistent attention to detail

  • Curiosity, and the ability to work independently on defining and achieving specific  outcomes based on team’s goals

  • Experience translating data into actionable information to drive results; proficiency in business operations and/or IT Logistics

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or other relevant field or equivalent experience
