Job Description

As a 3PP Accessories (3rd Party Peripherals) Global Supply Manager on the Hardware Operations team, you will be responsible for managing 3rd party peripherals such as printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, receipt paper, cases, docks, mounts, iPADs across all of Block’s Hardware portfolio. You will manage supplier business relationships which include pricing and contract negotiations, quality, forecasting, and supply assurance. You will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies from a wide variety of manufacturers and distributors. You willl report to the Accessories Global Supply Manager Lead.


You will:

  • Work cross-functionally with Logistics, Supply Demand Planning, Product Team, Mechanical Design, and Hardware Operations to achieve best-in-class manufacturer and distributor selection and qualification

  • Strategic Sourcing: manufacturer and distributor selection and relationship management, market intelligence on potential manufacturers, monitoring vendor deliverables and schedules.

  • Supply management: Effectively work with manufacturers to negotiate business terms and ensure Block receives the cost, quality and performance necessary for today’s global market.   • Manage global supply chain disruptions in real time with the support of an international team.

  • Capacity planning, ramp readiness, yield, throughput improvement and issue resolution.

  • Cost Management: negotiate pricing, cost reductions, RFQs, benchmarking and cost modeling.

  • Risk Management: Analyze technical and business risks and develop strategies for mitigation in a dynamic industry. 

  • Travel ~15% mostly domestically, 5% international. 

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in Global Supply Management with electro-mechanical commodities and modules (familiarity with printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, cases, docks, mounts is a plus) 

  • Supply Chain Management degree, MS or BS Degree in related disciplines (EE/ME preferred), MBA is a plus

  • Technical background (Mechanical highly preferred) 

  • Experience global supplier development & management, cost management, and semiconductor manufacturing

  • Experience with maintaining relationships within cross-functional teams as well as manufacturer and distributor teams and management

  • MS Excel skills
