Software Engineer (Frontend)
To solve this problem, we expanded into software and built integrated solutions to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.
Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. Square has recently acquired GoParrot, an all-in-one digital ordering and marketing platform for restaurants. GoParrot enables restaurants to connect more easily and directly with customers through powerful omni-channel software.
As a Frontend Software Engineer you will:
Develop new user-facing features
Implement the newest technologies (React and React Native)
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Implement cross platform component library (ios, android, web), documented with Storybook
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Stay up-to-date with FE technologies and best practices
+3 years of experience with web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
+3 years of experience with frontend build tools such as Webpack, ESbuild, Vite
Knowledge and experience of writing tests (Jest or any other framework)
Understand and apply software development design principles (SOLID, DRY) in your day to day work
Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
