Director of Finance and Strategy - Sales, Account Management & Customer Success

This role will support our Global Sales and Account Management functions, which guide our largest sellers’ journeys onto Square.
Act as the primary business partner to Square’s Head of Sales and Account Management, providing strategic insight and advice to inform all key business decisions
Manage a team of five, providing the necessary coaching and structure to ensure the team continues to operate at a high level
Own a Weekly Business Review process, facilitating actionable conversations with Sales and Account Management leadership based on real-time projections of the team’s pacing, including providing key insights to Square’s CEO/CFO
Serve as a bridge between GTM and Product teams, translating acquisition efforts into Product P&L impact and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency in key verticals
Partner with Data Science and Analytics teams to improve Sales and Account Management targeting strategy and value measurement
Help advise on operating expense budget activities to ensure investment allocation and resources are according to Square's strategic priorities
8+ years experience in investment banking or strategic finance
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Proven ability to develop and lead an effective team
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Excellent proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (there will be a case study)
Experience with SQL
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300
Zone B: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300
Zone C: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300
Zone D: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a commission plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
