Senior Product Manager, Owned Integrations

  • Oakland, CA, USA
  • Employees can work remotely
  • Full-time

Company Description

Since we first opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely – and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take a payment and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn’t work together. So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, run a busy kitchen, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. And across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow all in one place.

Today, we’re a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex commerce operations, sellers just starting out, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers scale, so do our solutions. We all grow together.

There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a business that is big, meaningful, and lasting. And we are helping sellers around the world do the same.

Job Description

Sellers need an overwhelming number of tools and workflows, some proprietary, in order to operate effectively. None of these tools work well together, software isn’t interoperable, and hardware is disconnected. We are solving this problem by building an integrated commerce ecosystem spanning software, hardware, and financial services. The Developer ecosystem empowers Developers to fill Square product gaps and extend the Square platform to integrate with Sellers’ systems, helping Sellers grow and operate their businesses.

This position on the Developers and Partnerships team will focus on defining, building, and owning the most strategic integrations needed for Sellers to grow their businesses.

To accomplish this you will understand the needs of our Sellers, define a strategy and roadmap of Seller facing integrations, define resourcing needed to deliver each integration, build deep expertise on each integration — while driving the delivery and ongoing success of our integration products. You'll work with our Partnerships, Sales and product organizations to ensure the success of our ecosystem resulting in a large impact on the growth of Square's platform ecosystem.

  • Own the technical health and user experience for a suite of products across multiple platforms

  • Influence and inspire key stakeholders and cross-functional peers and executives throughout Square to align intent, resources, and prioritization and deliver excellent products and services

  • A flexible skill set with experience building new solutions

  • A data-driven learning style and use quantitative information to make product decisions
