Job Description

As a member of the Global Policy & Governance (GPG) team, you will support Block in building and enhancing its Compliance Risk Management Program. GPG provides comprehensive management of compliance risk assessments, customer risk programs, issue management, regulatory examinations, and audits for Block and its businesses across all markets.

As Program Manager, you will work on developing and enhancing Block’s Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) program and oversee related GRC systems, processes and tools to support the program. 

You Will:

  • Manage Compliance's enterprise GRC program, including development and execution of the GRC strategy and being ‘hands-on’ designing and configuring the relevant end to end systems, processes and tools.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of GRC strategy and tool adoption
  • Work with vendors for Block’s GRC tool implementation, and ongoing support.
  • Train partners in the proper use of Block’s GRC tools.
  • Extract meaningful insights from large amounts of data and present them in a digestible format.
  • Analyze complex GRC topics and provide essential messages to audiences such as boards of directors, executives, and senior managers.
  • Work within a complex and evolving environment, to improve delivery of solutions while affecting cultural change.
  • Support the GPG team in undertaking  and special projects in adjacent areas.

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in financial services compliance management with responsibilities for Compliance Risk Management and GRC systems and tools, including detailed knowledge of GRC component parts and inter-relationships between risks, controls, issues, actions and incidents etc.
  • 7+ years of program management, with experience in affecting technology decisions
  • Experience in a hands-on technical role, with basic understanding of software implementation and integration
  • In particular, the technical skills that we are expecting the successful candidate to have are:
    • Ability to collect and define business requirements and translate to technical requirements
    • Experience in data analytics and visualization platforms (e.g. e.g. Databases, Tableau, Looker, or other querying methods)
    • Designing of on-line forms and flows (e.g. drop and drag type flows), information collection templates
    • Management information reporting systems
  • Knowledge and exposure to a number of compliance subject matter areas, including:  anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, consumer protection, or payments
  • Contribute to the development of new compliance programs, strategies, or work processes
  • Support the end-to-end implementation of assigned action plans
  • Build relationships and credibility with business leads, external partners, and regulators through collaborative and independent programs
  • Experience managing competing efforts and requirements

  • Industry certifications (e.g. CAMS, CRCM, CFE)
  • Knowledge in more than one of the subject matter areas listed above
  • Experience with GRC tools (e.g. Protecht, RSA Archer, SAI Global, ZenGRC, Resolver)
  • Experience with crypto assets or other decentralized financial technology

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $152,100 - USD $185,900
Zone B: USD $141,500 - USD $172,900
Zone C: USD $133,800 - USD $163,600
Zone D: USD $121,700 - USD $148,700
