Job Description

TIDAL is looking for a social media manager to join our US team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in furthering TIDAL’s mission, driving brand awareness, and fostering community with music fans all over the globe. You will be on the front lines of our brand building efforts, becoming part of TIDAL’s voice on social media, and elevating the brand and telling our story in a way that is meaningful and engaging. You are deeply passionate about creating emotional connections with current and future TIDAL fans, love dreaming up and launching content that preserves and uplifts TIDAL’s voice in the cultural zeitgeist, and generates storytelling and information sharing on a variety of channels, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and more. 

Social media is where people today consume their news, get their stories, and have experiences — and TIDAL is providing those moments for artists and their communities. And, it’s a specialty of yours to know all things social. You live online, are up-to-date on the latest content and cultural trends, and are live to grow brand fandoms. You have experience helping execute socially-led initiatives driven by insights and real-time feedback. And, you have the desire to stretch beyond the day-to-day social-verse to support omni-channel campaign efforts, helping influence marketing campaigns and programs with your social prowess. You feel comfortable working with cross-functional teams and external partners, and excel in a fast-paced, innovative environment to drive business impact. 

 

You Will:

  • Lead the development of social media content and creative as @TIDAL on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and other emerging channels.

  • Drive day-to-day community management efforts across our owned channels by actively engaging with followers, monitoring each platform for relevant and actionable cultural trends, and amplifying user-generated content. 

  • Own our social content calendar and ongoing content planning efforts, ensuring alignment with our broader marketing calendar and business goals.

  • Ensure that TIDAL’s brand voice is consistent across channels and that all creative is in line with TIDAL’s brand guidelines. 

  • Work with the Creative Marketing Studio team to develop high-quality, cross-channel creative content that tells the story of the brand while educating users about TIDAL and showcases its unique value proposition in the marketplace. 

  • Partner with our Customer Support team and/or Legal to monitor issues and customer communication, keeping a strong pulse on audience trends across all owned channels. 

  • Monitor creative trends and culturally relevant moments for TIDAL to engage in an effort to continue to grow the brand in our direct market and in larger areas of influence.

  • Establish relationships online with relevant social media influencers to help develop a strong network for TIDAL’s evolving influencer program.

  • Analyze social media metrics to ensure we’re meeting or exceeding benchmarks and making adjustments and recommendations to optimize performance over time.

  • Collaborate with partners, agencies, and influencers to execute marketing tactics, promotions and events.

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in social media and community building
  • Experience in managing social channels and developing digital content for a brand (in-house or agency)

  • A proven track record of building and growing fan communities online

  • Advanced knowledge of social media metrics and key performance indicators

  • Experience building a strong voice for a large brand

  • An eye for detail, down to the last character, image crop, and line break

  • Passion for artists and niche fan communities 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $94,400 - USD $115,400
Zone B: USD $87,800 - USD $107,400
Zone C: USD $80,300 - USD $98,100
Zone D: USD $70,800 - USD $86,600

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
