Job Description

At Block, we build elegant solutions to solve problems. As a Senior People Systems Analyst for the People team supporting Workday, you will deliver process documentation, enterprise analysis and solutions to our team members spanning across People tools and elsewhere. You will be involved in programs supporting all types of activities such as process documentation, process analysis, gap analysis, discovery phases, requirements gathering, testing, training to post implementation and support.

As a Senior People Systems Analyst your goal will be to help Block grow by building and scaling our People business systems, primarily Workday.

You Will:

  • Be the team subject matter expert on Workday Absence
  • Develop effective/strategic system solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes.
  • Work with partners, developers and teams to identify gaps and enhancement opportunities to mature the Workday infrastructure
  • Design and implement new methods, and systems (both automated and manual) to improve the processing and flow of information within the company using People tools
  • Support documentation of requirement, configuration, test plans and user acceptance criteria for feature releases, user story, and functional delivery.
  • Perform program unit tests based on sample data, stipulated functional test conditions and stipulated expected results; resolve any issues of functionality (i.e., debug programme logic errors).
  • Support annual cyclical events such as Workday Release Management, Performance, Merit, etc.
  • Support application configuration, system integrations and incident resolution
  • To accomplish this, you will partner with other teams in our HR departments, Payroll and Finance. This will involve maintaining a roadmap, creating a project schedule, and delivering regular updates to partners.

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Senior People Systems Analyst with increasing levels of responsibility
  • In-depth experience with Workday HCM core
  • Workday Absence experience a must
  • Workday security, business process design and core experience beneficial
  • Experience with HCM Core setup and architecture of Workday
  • Previous roles in a high growth, tech environment
  • Familiarity with leading projects and interact at all levels

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $125,600 - USD $153,600
Zone B: USD $119,300 - USD $145,900
Zone C: USD $113,000 - USD $138,200
Zone D: USD $106,800 - USD $130,600
