Job Description

We are looking for a Program Manager, Strategic Compliance Business Enablement to join Block and help grow  our Cash App Compliance Strategy function. The Cash App Compliance Strategy function is about optimizing how we position our organization to maximize Cash App’s ability to achieve our shared Compliance mission and goals . Within this role, you will report to the Head of Strategy for Cash Compliance and contribute to the design, execution, and oversight of pivotal strategic program initiatives.

You will:

  • Define strategic roadmaps through a thorough understanding of business and compliance objectives/pain points
  • Deliver high impact strategic program objectives, working effectively with partners in Compliance, Counsel, Technology, Risk, and Product
  • Coordinate with teams and build frameworks to facilitate planning, prioritization, implementation, decision governance, stakeholder management, change management, escalation management, and KPI/KRI/OKR management
  • Oversee and influence end-to-end implementation of changes, including metrics to measure success, processes to identify risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Communicate with leadership and other relevant parties on program status and health
  • Draft and maintain relevant program documentation and content
  • Stay informed of regulatory developments, industry trends and Cash App’s roadmaps to guide decisions

Qualifications

You have:

  • 5+ years in strategy, project, or program management with direct Compliance experience in the financial services or fintech space, ideally in BSA/AML and Sanctions
  • Experience developing trusted relationships with senior, global, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • High level of comfort operating in an open-ended environment with a rapidly evolving product suite that operates at scale globally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and metrics-driven approach to create substantiated solutions
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and project/productivity management software (e.g. JIRA, Asana, Notion)
  • Superb organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • An enthusiastic mindset to deliver results proactively, resourcefully, and methodically

Even better:

  • Relevant industry certifications (CAMS, CFE, CFCS, PMP)
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau or Looker

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $125,600 - USD $153,600
Zone B: USD $116,800 - USD $142,800
Zone C: USD $110,500 - USD $135,100
Zone D: USD $100,500 - USD $122,900

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
