Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager focused on strategic business initiatives, you'll use your organizational skills and deft human-centered leadership style to affect change across Guidance. From finance to supply chain to employee systems, you will help accelerate delivery of technical programs at scale by guiding teams, making data-driven decisions, managing risks, and communicating with executives and partners. Guided by a human-centered approach to change, and the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, the TPM keeps stakeholders informed, engaged, and proud to be a part of the Block community. 

You will:

  • Have knowledge of global e-invoicing / fiscalization obligations and/or experience working with system updates or implementations to ensure compliance
  • Manage strategic and organizational programs from launch to closure, including resource allocation, scope/schedule/budget management to ensure delivery
  • Partner with leads and product managers to ensure projects deliver the intended business benefits and goals
  • Manage risks, and decisions to improve delivery predictability
  • Remove impediments for the project teams
  • Contribute to the maturation of processes to simplify future delivery execution
  • Manage communication of progress/status with team members
  • Lead with curiosity and a commitment to process improvement

Qualifications

Must have:

  • 2+ years of technical project management experience in solution development using either Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Experience and comfort in managing initiatives that are fully remote
  • Familiarity with leading cross-functional projects and interact at all levels
  • Exposure to executive-level meetings
  • An ability to distill issues into solvable and actionable tasks
  • Experience with data, process, and concept visualization tools
  • Previous roles in a high growth, tech environment
  • Experience with pushing boundaries and questioning the status quo

  • You have lots of experience using G-Suite tools and SmartSheets
