Job Description

As an Analytics Business Partner on the People Analytics & Research team, you will drive the integration of data insights into strategic decisions, working closely with leaders to enhance the People team's impact. You have  a strong background in quantitative analysis, experience translating complex data into actionable insights, and a proven track record of effective client or stakeholder relationship management. Your ability to collaborate with People Research Scientists, prioritize varied projects, and influence leaders with evidence-based advice will be crucial for driving organizational growth and critical People decisions throughout Block.

You will:

  • Collaborate with People team leaders and cross-functional partners to provide evidence-based insights and recommendations that support their strategic goals.
  • Conduct research with People Research Scientists to address strategic questions and challenges.
  • Prioritize strategic goals and guide client teams on leveraging people data insights to achieve critical business outcomes.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to formulate recommendations and drive robust, evidence-based People decisions.
  • Respond to complex inbound inquiries with resource guidance, insights, and recommendations.
  • Work on cyclical and special projects supporting People team priorities, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
  • Manage analytics and moderately complex research projects, balancing business impact with project prioritization.
  • Act as a liaison between the business unit and People Analytics & Research team, ensuring seamless communication and project execution.

Qualifications

You have: 

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' experience, Master's degree with 2+ years' experience, PhD or equivalent work experience in a field emphasizing quantitative analysis (e.g., psychology, statistics, business, management, economics, sociology).
  • 5+ years' experience in an analytics or consulting role, generating and communicating evidence-based recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in data gathering, interpretation, and statistical analysis, with experience working with large datasets in analytics, management consulting, sales operations, finance, compensation, or related fields.
  • Project management experience, with a history of engaging enterprise-level clients and stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in SQL and common data visualization tools.
  • Moderate proficiency in statistical software/programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SAS).

Even better:

  • Experience working with data from HR tech platforms—e.g., HRIS, ATS, workforce analytics tools.
  • Experience developing resources and analyses in Visier or other self-service decision-support tools.

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $122,900 - USD $184,300
Zone B: USD $114,200 - USD $171,400
Zone C: USD $108,200 - USD $162,200
Zone D: USD $98,300 - USD $147,500
