Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) System Administrator to join our Compliance Governance and Reporting Team, and to manage our GRC System. You will ensure that our GRC systems are configured to effectively manage and report on compliance, risk, and governance processes across the organization.

The team manages key components of Block’s Compliance Risk Management Framework, and is part of Global Policy and Governance (GPG) within Block Compliance. With a focus on Block’s Compliance Risk Management Framework, the CGR team has responsibility for the following functions: Policy Governance, Training, Compliance Risk Management, including Advisory, Issues Management, and Reporting. As part of Block’s overarching Compliance Risk Framework, the team manages Block’s GRC tooling, systems and procedures.

You will support Block’s GRC program and tooling functions and report to the GRC Program Manager. The GRC Team develops the components of Block’s Risk Management Framework; you will work with the GRC Program Manager to oversee foundational programs such as Issue Management and Risk & Control requiring tooling integration and development.

You Will:

  • Administer and configure GRC Tool to meet business requirements.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions within the GRC system.
  • Provide training and support to system users, and act as the primary point of contact for GRC system-related inquiries.
  • Develop and generate reports for compliance, audit, and risk assessments.
  • Stay current with emerging GRC technologies and best practices.
  • Serve in a project management capacity with the GRC Program Manager to ensure that appropriate teams are involved including facilitation of project introduction, kick-off meetings and weekly status meeting while assisting with the project timeline
  • Prepare and deliver training sessions and produce training materials
  • Implement customizations/modifications of GRC configurations, including reporting, application development, and data integrations
  • Help develop system documentation, playbooks, user acceptance testing
  • Provide oversight into the Block Issue Management Program by assisting the GRC Program Manager monitor and report end-to-end management of issues identified across Block.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience in a project management-based role
  • Experience with Industry-leading GRC Tools 
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance risk management in a regulated financial services environment
  • Applied risk management concepts (e.g. COSO, three lines of defense)
  • Understand and work with data analytics teams to develop analytics based stories consumable to a broad range of audiences, including Board members
  • Expertise in at least one of the following subject-matter areas: BSA/AML/sanctions, consumer lending, consumer protection, or payments
  • A strong analytical approach to create substantiated solutions
  • Clear written skills
  • Ability to collaborate with team members of all levels, and cross-functional partners
  • A mindset to deliver results proactively, resourcefully, and methodically.

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $101,500 - USD $152,300
Zone B: USD $94,400 - USD $141,600
Zone C: USD $86,300 - USD $129,500
Zone D: USD $76,200 - USD $114,200
