Programmatic Ads Product Lead, Cash App

  • Full-time

Company Description

It all started with an idea at Block in 2013. Initially built to take the pain out of peer-to-peer payments, Cash App has gone from a simple product with a single purpose to a dynamic ecosystem, developing unique financial products, including Afterpay/Clearpay, to provide a better way to send, spend, invest, borrow and save to our 47 million monthly active customers. We want to redefine the world’s relationship with money to make it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible.

Today, Cash App has thousands of employees working globally across office and remote locations, with a culture geared toward innovation, collaboration and impact. We’ve been a distributed team since day one, and many of our roles can be done remotely from the countries where Cash App operates. No matter the location, we tailor our experience to ensure our employees are creative, productive, and happy.

Job Description

Our product leaders are customer-obsessed, collaborate intensely with other key disciplines, and always make decisions with an eye towards Cash App’s business as a whole. Successful product leaders are ambitious and resourceful - willing to go the extra mile to empower our teams, and deliver value to our customers.

We’re hiring a Product Lead to join the Commerce team, supporting our ads business. We have developed a robust onsite advertising business on Afterpay and now we’re looking to build the next generation of our advertising business that will connect our merchants and customers more deeply off-platform.

We’re seeking an exceptional Product Lead to define the strategy and build transformative, highly complex, “0 to 1” features.  We have an ambitious set of multi-year bets and need an experienced product leader to turn ideas into a concrete roadmap.  You will be the de facto team leader to achieve results in the face of setbacks or roadblocks, but also be an IC rolling up your sleeves to lead day-to-day execution.

  • Drive effective cross-functional partnership, constantly inspiring and influencing executives, and colleagues in legal, compliance, support and machine learning to deliver on goals and maximize impact
  • Evangelize product capabilities internally and externally, fostering collaboration with integration partners
  • Have a focus on building out data solutions and our ad platform through a combination of homegrown and partner solutions
  • Define the framework and metrics to measure the impact of the team; deeply understand the core drivers and monitor progress
  • Manage the roadmap to deliver on this strategy, balancing short term goals with long term vision
  • Structure our team’s processes to enhance execution velocity, making tactical tradeoffs between business priorities and resources
  • Work with cross functional team members distributed across the four US times zones and Melbourne, Australia

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience in ad technologies, including programmatic monetization, RTB, or header bidding
  • Deep knowledge of Demand Side Platform and identity resolution tech
  • Experience with, and understanding of, omnichannel advertising ecosystem
  • Track record as a product owner who has shipped high-impact 0 to 1 experiences
  • Product sense and design sensibilities to deliver features with the craft and consumer-grade simplicity of Cash App
  • Strong customer empathy and experience shaping product strategy & execution based on customer needs
  • Outstanding leadership skills; the ability to inspire team members and drive collaborative decision-making across geographically dispersed cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional prioritization and stakeholder management skills, particularly working with compliance/legal and external partners in a highly regulated industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication, narrative storytelling, and  influence skills that instills confidence and buy-in from senior leadership
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to distill and communicate complex data to make decisions, determine roadmap prioritization, and understand and communicate customer and business impact
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with rapid development cycles
