About the Role:

The Square Finance team is looking to hire a Fixed Asset Accountant that will be an integral part of our growing team. This ideal candidate will be highly analytical and able to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

You will:

• Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules relating to Fixed Assets

• Perform actual vs actual account analyses and present findings to Controller and other senior leadership

• Partner with various departments on Capex accruals for monthly and quarterly close

• Manage monthly additions, disposals and transfers in the Fixed Assets Subledger

• Create monthly Fixed Assets rollforward reports

• Support business partners for ad hoc requests e.g. Property Tax returns

• Continuously improve business processes, systems, and documentation as part of SOX readiness and testing

• Support quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by external auditors

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus
  

• GL Accounting experience (1+ years) 

• Previous role(s) should include GL Accounting with exposure to Fixed Assets 

• Passion for Square. Strong interest in technology / knowledge of the industry

• Tech savvy – Excel guru a plus

• Oracle Fixed Assets module experience a plus
