Job Description

We are looking for an analytical, results-oriented, creative growth leader to join Square Capital as our Product Marketing Lead. You should be data-driven, highly strategic while also being able to roll up your sleeves and passionate about economic empowerment. You have led product management or product marketing programs at a consumer technology or financial technology company. You have a consistent track record of cross-functional leadership and exhibit excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

You will:

  • Collaborate with and provide thought partnership to Product Management to build the roadmap for Square Capital’s current and new products

  • Deeply understand the customer, market, and business opportunity for Square Capital. Be the conduit for the voice of the customer, deeply understand competitive offerings, and build strategies for product growth driven on customer and market insights

  • Drive strategy for marketing optimization, partnering with cross-functional teams from Analytics to Channel Marketing

  • Define and lead the go-to-market plan, ensuring that all customer-facing teams are on-message and maximizing the results from each channel

  • Be a strong people leader and product champion throughout the product development process

Qualifications

You have:

  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience, MBA preferred

  • 10+ years of professional experience, management consulting, product management, and/or product marketing experience preferred

  • 5+ years working in a product marketing capacity ideally (partnering closely with product management and/or engineering to represent market requirements and with sales and acquisition channels to support product launches)

  • Previous background in B2B or B2C marketing within the financial services and/or lending industry, preferably with exposure to both small and large businesses

  • Excellent quantitative analytical skills

  • Superior written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrated capacity to communicate complex, large-scale concepts clearly and simply

  • Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, agile environment

  • Experience leading by influence and driving results in a highly cross-functional and matrixed organization
