The Square Finance team is looking to hire an Accountant that will be an integral part of our growing team. This ideal candidate will be highly analytical and able to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

You will: 

• Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Perform flux analyses and present findings to Controller and other senior leadership
• Partner with various departments on accruals for monthly and quarterly close
• Support business partners for ad hoc GL report requests
• Continuously improve business processes, systems, and documentation as part of SOX readiness and testing
• Support quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by external auditors

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus
• Prior experience in Public Accounting or GL Accounting (1+ years)
• Passion for Square. Strong interest in technology / knowledge of the industry
• Tech savvy – Excel guru a plus
• Oracle experience a plus
