Job Description

Square is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to assist with all of our various projects in the New York City office. As the Facilities Coordinator you will be part of the Office Experience team working closely with the Office Experience Manager (OEM). You will also be instrumental in bringing our culture, products and sellers into our office every day.

In this role you’ll be a quick thinker, a problem solver, and a skilled multi-tasker. You are reliable and have a solid track record of eagerly anticipating and conquering whatever issues arise. You are happy to pitch in and help with any task, no matter what the request is. You come to work every day with a smile on your face. Your polite and friendly demeanor instantly puts others at ease - on the phone, in person or via email. You take pride and ownership in ensuring that everybody's experience at Square New York is downright enjoyable.

You will:

  • Act as primary point of contact for all facility related projects
  • Maintain janitorial vendor relationship ensuring that key standards are maintained on a continual basis
  • Resolve office requests through our internal ticketing system
  • Conduct daily facility walks to maintain the office space (conference rooms, micro kitchen equipment, lighting, and music) and report any unusual findings to OEM
  • Organize, track, and maintain office supplies and swag inventory
  • Conduct regular auditing of seat assignments using our internal software
  • Cover and support our receptionist as needed
  • Assist with events, office moves, writing, and research projects, and a variety of other administrative and special projects around the office as assigned


Qualifications

You have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a reception, facilities, customer service, or hospitality role
  • Strong and clear communication skills both written and verbal, and an ability to converse easily with anyone and everyone
  • Basic understanding of facilities terminology with a history of managing and supporting projects of moderate complexity
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Incredible commitment for paving the path to resolution for key work projects
  • Proven ability to multitask and work well under pressure – you excel at creatively and resourcefully solving a wide problems and tasks on a daily basis
  • Computer skills: strong familiarity with Apple software and hardware, gdocs and gcal, and various other web applications strongly preferred
