Job Description

Square is seeking an exceptional legal assistant. If hired, you will play a key role in providing organizational and substantive support to the attorneys on the corporate team, will have the opportunity to build out new systems and procedures, will work closely with attorneys, contracts managers, operations members, and compliance teams, and will report to the director of the corporate legal group. You will:

Provide administrative support to the corporate team and play a key role managing important transaction documents, reviewing and executing contracts, and maintaining confidentiality;

Provide assistance with managing the company’s domestic and international subsidiaries;

Manage special corporate projects;

Assist with the filing of registrations and similar documents with the Secretary of State and other government agencies;

Assist with drafting share transfer agreements;

Work closely with our internal product, business, and compliance teams, as well as with external advisors and experts; and

Manage projects effectively, with a team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

You have:

About 1-2 years of paralegal, project management or other experience requiring attention to detail and time management;

B.A./B.S.;

The ability to work with team members at all levels, sometimes under pressure, while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality;

The ability to be a good team player and help achieve corporate team goals;

Good communication skills; 

Ability to work independently with little to no supervision; and

Strong decision-making abilities and attention to detail.
