Caviar Operations Specialist

  • Full-time

Company Description

Caviar is changing the way businesses and consumers order food from restaurants. We believe that everyone should have access to the best eateries in their city without any hassles.

We believe in an environment that allows you to be creative and go beyond the call of duty. We're looking for exceptionally talented individuals who want to learn and grow with the company. Each and every day counts; you'll make a direct impact on the business starting from day 1 (You’ll be surprised how quickly you can literally measure the impact you are having).

Job Description

As our business continues to grow at a very fast pace, we are looking to onboard, manage, and retain a reliable, professional courier fleet. Our couriers are the best in the business and are on the front lines of our mission. We need you to manage and engage them.

We are looking for a dynamic community builder with logistics experience to manage all aspects of courier sourcing, onboarding, communication, community development and retention for Seattle. This will be a logistics-focused role with a heavy emphasis on data analytics, people communications, courier onboarding, and developing (and implementing) a playbook for ongoing campaigns to engage and retain our couriers.

Qualifications

You will:

  • Source, interview, and onboard Couriers on a weekly basis.
  • Analyze current retention rates, courier turnout from previous weeks, and other trends and strategize ways to improve retention and productivity.
  • Develop and execute campaigns, communications, and events to optimize the retention and productivity of Caviar’s Seattle courier fleet.
  • Work closely with fellow Logistics Associates and the Seattle GM to ensure our couriers are the best of any on-demand service on the planet.
  • Develop the playbook to accelerate community growth and retention, in order to keep up with our ever increasing customer demand.
  • Monitor logistics in real-time, especially during peak hours, and respond to unexpected challenges (traffic situations, sudden weather, courier no-shows) to ensure we get adequate courier supply to meet demand.
  • Analyze restaurants’ operational metrics, and partner directly with our restaurant partners to improve their in-house operations, driving higher-quality and more efficient deliveries for Seattle.
  • Bring an analytical mind where you will utilize dashboards and SQL queries to assess the courier needs of Seattle’s growing demand and current restaurants’ operational performance.

You have:

  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities where you can point to specific projects to show how you took unstructured data and developed a strategic plan.
  • Excellent people skills where you can communicate easily with all our stakeholders: Caviar colleagues, restaurant managers and owners, and of course, delivery drivers.
  • A demonstrated ability and desire to think and act like an owner. You roll-up-your-sleeves and take a highly pro-active approach to identifying challenges, developing solutions, and taking charge of implementing those solutions, regardless of the barriers.
