Job Description:

The Grant Coordinator is responsible for administering federal USFWS Grants for assigned Divisions/Programs, ensuring timely reporting, monitoring performance and appropriate disbursements to subrecipients in accordance with applicable federal government regulations and guidelines, and also the terms of the federal grant awards. The Grant Coordinator plays a critical role in grant application/processing, tracking data and information, ensuring legal and administrative compliance and sharing information among Programs, subrecipients, Finance/Accounting as well as throughout IDEM.

Responsibilities:

Administer federal Compliance ensuring timely and appropriate activities/spending and reporting compliance for assigned IDEM programs and subrecipients in accordance with applicable federal government regulations and guidelines and also the terms of the federal grant awards. Monitors assigned programs' grant-related contracts, and completes all required grant reporting (financial, interim, annual, close-outs, etc.) for submission to the Accounting Branch Chief. Manage sub award functions for assigned programs including outgoing sub award approval, RFP advice/questions/interpretation/guidance, coordination of internal review of sub award applications, monitoring the process of awarding subcontracts and sub Compliance, preparation, reporting, and other functions. Works regularly with Accounting Branch Chief for reporting and grant monitoring. Works with other sections of IDEM as needed for grant-related procurement. Interacts with Office of Legal Counsel for sub awards contracting questions.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience:

Seven (7) years work experience in grant programs; program planning; or accredited college training in a related field.
