Working in Global Software Department

From helping to run advanced renewable power plants, to supporting our business solutions and corporate functions. With Statkraft, you’ll be working and collaborating alongside other technology and digital experts to innovate, maintain and provide the world with renewable energy.

As a Software Developer / Senior Software Developer (Python) in the global software development team you’ll:

• Develop high quality tools in-order to provide the business flexibility in data analysis and visualization.
• Work closely with the business to understand the business process and needs; design the technical concept and develop high quality software within agreed timescales.
• Support the agile release- and sprint planning process through analysis and estimation of development work.
• Develop and maintain small to enterprise scale applications in a range of technologies.
• Preparing release notes and operational handover documents.

We look for experienced Software Developer / Senior Software Developer (Python) with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions. That includes:

• B.E. /BTech/BS degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study
• 4-10 years of professional software development experience
• Working experience in Python scripting Anaconda distribution, Dask, Pandas, NumPy, Dockers, Kubernetes, Flask, Django- Web Development.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5).
• Working with financial & time series data and systems supporting business or industrial processes
• Handling data that spans various time zones.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills and a commercial mind-set.
• Experiences in these areas are also useful in your role.
• PostgreSQL, Timeseries database competence and knowledge of Azure technology, High charts would be beneficial.
• Hands-On with Azure Resources like Databricks, Function App, Synapse would be highly preferred.
• Working experience on Microsoft Power BI.
• Motivated and pro-active self-starter with a success-oriented attitude.
• English language fluency is preferred.
