Job Description

As Manager: Project Procurement (Wind), you will be reporting to the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain in India and the following tasks would be a part of your job profile:

  • Coordinate all procurement activities within the Wind Energy projects (including minor procurements) and plan, organize and manage the procurement function/ team.
  • Prepare the Procurement Strategy and procurement plan for the project based on relevant category strategies and input from the category and sourcing managers.
  • Perform tender processes, manage contracts, and secure efficient execution of all procurements for the project.
  • Maintain status of key aspects of all major contracts, including securities, supply chain, cost and progress/ time status, number of VORs/VOs, claims and correspondence status.
  • Follow-up risk and mitigation actions within the contract execution phase.
  • Act as commercial counterpart and advisor to the project manager.
  • Initiate and arrange contract/commercial training for the project team.
  • Monitor and follow up sustainability requirements to contractors and their supply chain including activities to create awareness.
  • Documentation of procurement process, contract management items and learning in Jaggaer and the project collaboration tool.
  • Assist the project team in take over activities with contractor, dispute handling and final settlement.
  • Perform supplier assessment (SPM) of each contract in Jaggaer.
  • Prepare contract close out report.
  • Support O&M team in claims management of main contract.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant subject e.g. renewables, Procurement and Supply chain Management.
  • Minimum 10 years of Experience in the Wind Energy (or relevant) industry with a demonstrable track record of successfully achieving targets. Entry level will be determined by years of experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Indian renewable Wind energy market.
  • Highly proficient in SAP, MS Word, Excel and other MS applications.
  • Ability to manage numerous procurements and relationships simultaneously including Internal and external stake holders.
  • Independent self-starter. Ability to manage a large workload, often providing support to processes managed by colleagues.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (Verbal and Written).
  • Fluent in English, any additional language is an advantage.
