Job Description

The role of Senior Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable Specialist for the Central Payments team is organized in the Global Business Services unit (GBS) which is the group’s provider of shared accounting and reporting services. The unit serves business partners worldwide. The Central Payments team handles the payment process for Norwegian entities. In addition, the team drives the system improvements in payments, processes, and systems with a global perspective using process mining tools.

The Senior Accounts Receivable and Payable Specialist responsibilities are;

  • Processing of payment runs for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable accounts in Norwegian entities.
  • Manage bank posting and anchor with key internal stakeholders including Unit Reporting and Treasury
  • Perform capital increase transfers and dividend payments.
  • Oversee quality in AR and AP accounts.
  • Monitor system efficiency related to payments globally. Drive improvement based on process mining findings. System insight in SAP and Inhouse Bank system are key prerequisites.
  • Act as point of contact in external audits
  • Foreign Currency Revaluation specialist
  • Manage Month end closing activities including bank reconciliation for both inhouse and external banks using Balance Sheet reconciliation tool Blackline.
  • Act as center of excellence and escalation point in questions related to payment processes inbound and outbound.
  • Assist in streamlining and improving the Central Payment departments responsibilities with increased efficiency in mind to enable capacity to take on new tasks.

To be successful in the role, we believe you have:

  • A master’s degree in Finance or similar 
  • Relevant professional experience
  • Strong experience related to payments
  • Track record related to process approvement and automatization
  • Interest in digitalization and RPA
  • Good IT skills in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
  • Experience with Inhouse bank system is an advantage  
  • Good SAP (ERP system) knowledge is an advantage
  • Experience from Cash Management is an advantage
  • Independent and thorough way of working 
  • Good English skills (additional knowledge in a European language is an advantage)
