Job Description

It is the responsibility of an inside sales person to work as a responsible member of their branch team, to maximize sales and gross margin potential for the company, while observing the principals stated in Stellar's Mission Statement and Vision:

Ideal Customer <-> Supplier Partnerships

Major responsibilities  and expectations:

1)   Proficiently and  efficiently  handle the main inside sales functions to meet or exceed customer expectations:

a)   Immediately address the customer, whether a call in customer or walk in customer and adeptly handle more than one customer at a time, when necessary

b)   Return calls and quotes as soon as possible

c)   Accurately enter quotes and orders using the P21 processes

d)   Expedite all open quotes and sales orders with urgency and accuracy

e)   Communicate quickly and accurately with customers with regards to quotes, orders or any other aspects of their account business

f)    Generate add on sales where appropriate, recognizing sales opportunities as you increase

customer and product knowledge

g)   Communicate with vendors directly when necessary, accurately record vendor commitments on price and delivery in P21

h)   Communicate with Stellar Product Managers as needed to meet customer requirements

i)      Engage in continual learning of Stellar products, processes and systems (P21) Core  competencies:

d)   Understand Stellar's  dedicated inventory levels and first pass fill rates

e)   Be knowledgeable of  Stellar's  internal wireless warehouse systems, efficient logistics processes and sophisticated product management and replenishment  systems

  • Experience in industrial supply setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of cutting tools is highly desired
  • 2-3 years experience in an inside sales/customer service position
  • Excellent computer skills

  • Works effectively in a team environment
  • Creative problem solving
