Job Description

To strengthen the Global Product Management Team at our headquarters in Basel, we are looking for a qualified Head Product Management Surgical LCM. In this role, you will report directly to SVP Head Global Product Management SDIS. You will be part of a passionate, creative and highly performing team. We are looking for a driven, resourceful and forward-thinking personality with strong execution and decision-making ability who will drive the future growth of Straumann`s key brands.

As Head Product Management Surgical LCM, you will be responsible for the Global Product Management Team who drives our successfully established surgical product portfolio across the entire lifecycle. With your excellent prioritizing skills, you will enable your team to focus and deliver with speed and quality.

YOUR TASKS

  • Build the global lifecycle portfolio strategy and execute the global marketing plan for the assigned portfolio. Develop a detailed Product Portfolio Strategy for each surgical brand or franchise, including activities like revitalization, portfolio improvements, geographic expansion, or streamlining the existing portfolio

  • Be product champion for assigned franchise and interact with customers to gain deep insight on product usage and performance relative to competitive products

  • Establish and implement marketing & sales campaigns to drive surgical brands in close cooperation with the regional and local sales organizations

  • Act as ‘gate keeper’ for assigned KOLs, manage relationship, evaluate ROLs for potential to be Raising Stars for KOLs

  • Be in charge of P&L for assigned portfolio and proactively monitor product performance (sales, gross margin) to identify areas of strength and weakness as well as seek counteractions quickly to address performance gaps together with regional and local sales organization

  • Be responsible for a passionate and highly performing team of 4-5 Global Product Managers, provide leadership, guidance and coaching

Qualifications

YOUR PROFILE

  • Must have 7 to 10 years’ experience in product management or related function, in medical device or dental industry, additional sales and marketing experience in a local role is a plus

  • Academic degree in life sciences, marketing, business administration or equivalent experience, MBA is preferred

  • >3 years’ experience in a leadership role, experienced in leading and coaching

  • Self-aware with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve, highly motivated leader with team oriented attitude who is keen on working in an interdisciplinary Environment

  • Ability to establish effective working relationship across departments and hierarchical levels within the organization

  • Combining entrepreneurial spirit, you must be able to frame strategies at multiple altitudes and pursue with your strong communication skills

  • Record of success operating in a fast paced dynamic Environment

  • Proficiency in English; other languages advantageous
