Job Description

ABOUT THE POSITION

The IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance to computer users at the Head Office and at the stores experiencing difficulties with hardware, computer applications, and software.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support & maintain in-house computer systems, desktops & peripherals
  • Support & maintain retail locations computers, network, peripherals, cameras, telephony, internet, etc.
  • Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining & upgrading all hardware, software & equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance
  • Provide end user training & assistance where requiredPerform on-site/off-site analysis, diagnosis & resolution of PC and Network problems for a variety of end users
  • Receive & respond to incoming calls or e-mails regarding PC, Network, Telephony and/or hardware problems
  • Develop & maintain an inventory of all IT related equipment
  • Monitor Infrastructure Services (Xibo, ESET, Pandora, etc.)
  • Accurately document instances of all IT related issues
  • Liaise with third-party support & PC equipment vendors
  • Office 365 support.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent technical knowledge of network & PC hardware
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience working technical knowledge of TCP/IP network protocols, operating systems & standards, including Windows XP, Linux, MAC OS X, switches, etc.
  • Ability to read & understand technical manuals, procedural documentation & OEM guides
  • Ability to conduct research into PC issues & products as required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Availability to work on evenings and on weekends for unexpected need
  • Access to a car is a must
  • On call 2 weeks out of 4.
