The Back End Developer at Structube will collaborate with Front End and other developers to build and maintain various applications and services. This includes development, debugging and documentation of the solutions. Joining a small team of developers allows the opportunity to engage in multiple aspects of the development process on a variety of different projects.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, reusable and efficient code;
• Optimize and maintain existing solutions;
• Participate in requirements, analysis and strategy sessions;
• Prepare and execute unit tests;
• Identify and implement best practices;
• Adapt and respond to changing business needs.

• Experience with PHP Frameworks;
• Experience with SQL (MySQL/MS SQL);
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL;
• The principles of programming (SOLID, MVC) and object-oriented programming
• Knowledge of Git repositories;
• Experience in an Agile development environment and are familiar with the SCRUM and Kanban methodology;
• Strong desire to learn new technologies;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Bachelor’s degree or DEC in corresponding field, or equivalent work experience;
• Strong communication in English and French (written and spoken).
