As part of the SSMU's operations, The Nest is the student-driven, student-operated, and student-designed food service in the Students’ Society of McGill University Building located on McTavish Street.

The Preparation Cook position is responsible for preparing input ingredients for menu items as well as preparing food for the following day’s service on a daily basis.  This position would also be responsible for "à la minute" preparation of dishes upon order in the front of house.  Additionally, the Preparation Cook will be responsible for keeping track of kitchen inventory and washing dishes on a regular basis.

• Basic knowledge of cooking equipment;
• A minimum of 6 months of cooking experience;
• Must be passionate about food;
• Independent worker; must be comfortable creating and tasting recipes independently;
• Knowledge of sustainability and waste management an asset.
