Job Description

StyleHaul is seeking an AP accountant to work directly with the AP manager and Controller to handle accounts payable processes, ledgers, and reports.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.
  • Pay vendors and follow company protocol by verifying federal ID numbers, scheduling/preparing checks, resolving issues involving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and payment discrepancies.
  • Ensure credits are received for outstanding memos and issue stop-payments or purchase order amendments as needed
  • Pay employees when expense reports and requests for advances are submitted, along with preparing checks.
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Maintain historical records by requesting and filing documents.
  • Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Accomplish the accounting department and organization's mission by completing related tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • GAAP/IFRS Accounting
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and small team environment
  • Familiarity with SAP software and/or QuickBooks is desirable
