Junior Buyer

Cooks Delights Ltd has an excellent opportunity for a Junior Buyer, who has a background in working for retail/food distribution companies. The Junior Buyer will be required to do the following duties:

Job Description

Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products.

Meeting suppliers and negotiating terms of contract

Attending trade fairs in UK to examine new product lines and price lists and select the most suitable supplier

keeping contract files and using them as reference for the future

Monitoring buying progress to ensure agreed quality of incoming goods and

Returning unsatisfactory or faulty items

Processing payments and invoices;

Liaising with depot personnel to ensure product/collection supply meets demand

Placing repeat order for best seller products

Liaising with marketing team with promotions or price reduction

Managing plans for stock levels, reacting to change in demand and logistics.

Check availability of stock when requested.

Identifying new opportunities, assessing and prioritising new ideas

Some knowledge in import/export buying

Competitively aware through understanding of the markets and its trends and pricing

Conduct research to ascertain the best products and at a value price in terms of delivery, schedules, and quantity

Negotiating and agreeing on contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided;

Ensuring suppliers are aware of business objectives
