Sunrise Ranch is a Spiritual Center cradled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. By day, the wide-open blue of the Colorado sky stretches overhead; and by night, there is an endless canopy of brilliant stars.

Since 1945, Sunrise has stewarded the land and water as a sustainable ranch and farm. This natural setting—a valley surrounded by red sandstone and pine-covered hills—has been known as a place of tranquility, reflection and learning. Throughout Sunrise’s history, individuals and groups have come here to move to a different rhythm, to see their lives and their work with new eyes, and to bring fresh energy into their world.

Sunrise Ranch is recognized as a place for learning, reflection, and transformation. The programs held here include time for deep stillness and relaxation, as well as inspired, leading-edge thought and experience. Everything about Sunrise supports this work—the natural setting, wholesome food, and most of all, the resident staff.

Sunrise Ranch is also a community of people who are personally dedicated to transformation and service. We delight in creating an atmosphere in which conference leaders and presenters have the opportunity to do their best work. And we provide a conscious surround for experiences of renewal in body, mind and spirit.

We implement bio-intensive and permaculture principles in our organic vegetable and herb gardens as well as our fruit orchard which produces apples, pears, apricots, cherries, peaches and plums.  We practice holistic agriculture management on our diverse multi-species farm with grass-fed cattle, pastured chickens, Nigerian dwarf goats, pigs, ducks, geese, wild turkeys, and horses.  We teach animal husbandry, pasture and livestock management, rotational and mob grazing, coordinated irrigation techniques, water treatment and processing, green architecture and general sustainability practices.  We host an entire farm-to-table curriculum which includes our farm and garden program as well as a Culinary Academy that creates delicious gourmet meals that cater to all types of specialty diets.  We are also an intentional community and conscious retreat and conference center so there are always activities and opportunities for interaction available, including a 5-day conscious music festival held on property every August.  

We offer a work trade agreement that includes housing, access to community amenities such as pool, hot tub, internet, laundry facilities, daily gourmet meals, and a $250/month stipend for periods of stay ranging from one month to the entire growing and harvest season and beyond.  While learning trade skills and performing fulfilling work, you will enjoy gorgeous natural landscapes every day, mountain hiking only a few minutes’ walk away, and close proximity to cities such as Fort Collins, Boulder, Estes Park and Loveland.  For additional information on work study and paid internships, visit sunriseranch.org/iha or contact [email protected]
