Job Description
Job Summary:
Employees
who work in the Digital/Graphics Department are responsible for assessing the
digital files submitted by the client, verifying that the files are properly
formatted and acceptable for the production to the client’s Work Order
specifications. They must also seek to improve the image whenever possible, by
adjusting color, image and size to produce a better quality file for the
printing of the project.
Job Duties:
Monitor
Production flow from Preflight to PrintingRetouch
client’s file according to Work OrderProvide
updates on the status of Work OrdersWork
on multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentCommunicate
file issues to Production Manager for that Work OrderMaintain
protocols for secured graphic projectsLayout
files as required per Work Order specificationsMake
color corrections to files when neededHave
a clear understanding of Production work flow’s interrelationship with
graphics.Check
that all information regarding Work Order/Post-Preflight Proof is correct
before accepting job, perform Digital duties perfectly and check that all
information is correct regarding Work Order/RTL and Media Bank lasers before
giving the job to the next stage of ProductionJob Competencies:

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Associate or BA degree
in related field. Graphic prepress preferred4+ years in related
prepress fieldMinimum 3 years
experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and CS2Excellent verbal and
written communication skillsExcellent
organizational skillsStrong
knowledge of file ripping software, media storage and ICC profilesProficiency
in all aspects of PC/MAC-based computers
